Pleading the blood of Jesus is not biblical because:
Jesus is the author of Christianity and the author of life. Christianity came as a result of resurrection not his death even though the death or the shedding of his blood was a means to an end. Hebrews 9:15-17, 10:9,17-18. God said their sins will I remember no more, so what sins do you want to clean?
(1).After Jesus arose from the dead he met Mary in the garden and she wanted to touch Him and He said, don’t touch for I am not yet ascended to my father (John 20:17)… to do what? To present His blood as sacrifice of our sins as Jesus the High Priest (in the order of Melchizedek). No one else qualifies to plead the blood of Jesus, even in the old testament it was only the High Priest who could enter into the most holy place to present sacrifices of sins once every year. But Jesus presented His blood once for eternal atonement. Our hearts are now the most holy place and when you get born again your heart is sanctified (consecrated) by the Holy Spirit not by blood (regeneration). We now carry the presence of God just like the ark that carried God’s presence. This is the gospel.
(2). The nature of sin has been dealt with that’s why Jesus died, He redeemed us by paying a price… what price? His blood. This is what is called “redemption” – buying back from sin. Through Adam we became sinners. Adam gave Satan the world. Jesus’ death buys us back from sin. But his resurrection justified us (declared us not guilty) – Romans 3:24 says, “Being justified freely…” Justification is free . If Jesus didn’t arise from the dead there wouldn’t be Christianity. Before he died he was Jesus, after resurrection he became Jesus the Christ (the messiah).
(3). The 72 disciples returned and told the master how that the devils were subject to them through the name of Jesus, if it was wrong Jesus would have corrected them that it was not his name but his blood or something else – Luke 10:17-19. The power is in the name of Jesus not in his blood. But the name got power through resurrection (Philippians 3:10). The shedding of blood was a means to an end.
(4) Philippians 2:9-11, tells us that Jesus was given a name that is above every name… and that when that name is announced, proclaimed…. all things will bow down including the devil and that we should confess that JESUS not the BLOOD is Lord. After all the mother of all devils Satan himself was defeated (John 16:33) in hell by Jesus Colossians 2:14-15. All Satan has now is deception which is one of his synonyms.
(5) The blood is for the remissions of sin, if you are now born again what else do you want to remit… The lordship of Jesus on your life cleansed you from all unrighteousness now you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21). if you commit an act of sin after you are born again you ask for forgiveness through Jesus our advocate. 1 John 2:1.
(6) Jesus told us to use His name… nowhere in the bible he told us to use his blood. In Mark 16:17-20, Jesus said, “These signs shall follow them that believe, in my name they shall cast out devils…” also in John 14:13-14 and John 16:23-24, we are told to use his name.
(7) Lets look at the apostles: In Acts 3:6 Peter told the man who was lame to rise up and walk in the name of Jesus. In Acts 3:16 and Acts 4:10, Peter also explains that the man was healed through faith in the name of Jesus.
So brothers and sisters the power of God is in the name of Jesus. When you get born again you receive the Holy Spirit which brings with it the anointing “POWER” to accomplish anything in your life. Acts 1:8… says you shall receive power after that the Holy Spirit has come upon you not when the blood or when you use the blood. In Acts 10:38 Jesus went about doing good after receiving the Holy Spirit. That’s why people get born again by confessing the name of Jesus not his blood.
If you are not born again its time to give your heart to Christ – Romans 10:9-10.
Today, you can receive the life of God into your spirit, and become a brand new creature in Christ, so that God’s beauty and power can be seen in you. All you have to do is say this prayer and mean it with all of your heart; and God will hear you.
O Lord God, I believe in Jesus Christ, your Son who died for me and was raised from the dead for my justification.
Your Word says in Romans 10 vs. 9 & 10 “…that if thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
Therefore I confess Jesus Christ as Lord of my life from this day forth. I receive remission of sins for my soul and I receive eternal life into my spirit.
I am saved! I am born-again! Thank you for making me your child.
If you just said the above prayer, Congratulations you are now born again. Now you have to attend church services where the bible is taught. Or visit http://www.christembassy.org and see if there is a branch of this church in your area.
GOD BLESS YOU!
