In the last days hard times shall come (2 Timothy 3:1).

“…and because iniquity shall abound and the love of many shall wax cold…” – Matthew 24:12.

The scriptures above tell us the situation in the world right now and men have become lovers of themselves (selfishness). We are in the last days and men is failing, people are going to and from looking for answers and they can’t get them, all they are now doing is pointing fingers and killing each other, betraying each other, insecurity, fear, anxiety and so on. But the bible tells us that the whole creation (humans, animals, plants etc) waits for the manifestation of the sons of God (these are the matured sons of God who have handled the word of God) who walk in love. That’s why the gospel of the Kingdom must be preached in all the world (Matthew 24:14). The gospel is the answer. Why? How?

The whole bible from Genesis to Revelation is about love, contains love, it is love; God is love (1 John 4:8). The solution to all this is love but you cannot get love from ordinary men because they don’t have it. So don’t put your trust in men because they will fail you and you will be disappointed. Men will tell you they love you, no, they cannot because their love is based on conditions. For example: If a brother has been helping a sister for a long time and all of a sudden the sister says something to this brother, something he doesn’t like chances are that he will change his mind in helping. Why? Because he feels undone or hurt. You see, human love is based on feelings, it’s from the senses whereas God’s love is a nature. “Like” is of the senses whereas “Love” is of the spirit. So the one who has this love has it in his spirit. Love in human being becomes available and true when the man is born again, meaning when his spirit has been recreated of God.

Once you get born again you receive the life and nature of God, i mean you receive the Holy Spirit into your spirit (Romans 5:5). Out of the love that God gives you (2 Corinthians 13:14) & (John 3:16) you produce love. Faith, hope and love but the greatest of these is love (1 Corinthians 13:13). A tree produces fruits after its kind, if it does not then something is wrong with it. In the same way as a Christian you produce love which is a fruit of the recreated human spirit. If you don’t love it means you are a diseased branch, which is not right because Jesus said this kind of branch will be cut away and burned so that it does not contaminate the whole body and no traces of it will be found (John 15:2). Let’s look at what the Master himself said:

MATTHEW 22:37-39(AMP)

37 And He replied to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind (intellect). 38 This is the great (most important, principal) and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as [you do] yourself.

This means if you cannot love yourself how can you love others. You cannot give what you don’t have. But there were some problems with this because other people will never love themselves so automatically will not love their neighbor, hence the new commandment. Firstly, Yes some people don’t love themselves; they just give up on life, no ambitions, they say whatever will be, will be. They can become gluttonous and become fat and later look for solutions for help to do away with the weight. Secondly, human love is fickle, it fades, it waxes cold and it’s conditional.

JOHN 13:34 (AMP)

34 I give you a new commandment: that you should love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you too should love one another.

Jesus’ love was never doubted, it was true, because he was the embodiment of love. Demons trembled when he showed up because they saw Love. Love is bigger than any other thing you can ever think of on earth. The bible called Jesus in Hebrews 1:3, “The express image of the father’s person”. Everything Jesus did was out of love; he portrayed the father’s love. Each time he healed people in the bible we hear that, “Jesus was moved with compassion” which is different from pity. His compassion was not based on feelings (pity) but it was based on His spirit (heart). Pity doesn’t help someone but compassion does. He had the father’s love, the father’s heart and he could afford to give it liberally. He came on earth as a result of His father’s love (John 3:16).

Read the whole chapter of 1 Corinthians 13:13.

In summary I can say Love does not judge (Matthew 7:1), it does not condemn because there is no judgment against love – there are no laws to judge love. If you condemn or judge other people sure enough you are not walking in love, you are walking in pain and hate which comes from a contrary spirit. Check yourself, something is troubling you and you might not know it, Saul was troubled by an evil spirit and he didn’t know it. How do we know whether you are walking in love or not? Your words and your actions. You can pretend to love but in the fullness of time that lying spirit behind everything will burst forth and the truth will be revealed.

Brothers and sisters let us love one another because God loved us first, you don’t love so that God can love you, NO, God loved you while you were still a sinner (Romans 5:8) and as long as you have God’s spirit you will surely love (Ezekiel 36:26-27). The love of God is shared (poured out) in our hearts by the Holy Spirit.

Finally, and most importantly when you love you give because when God loved he gave, don’t give grudgingly but with a cheerful heart and I assure you, you will walk and live a higher life in Christ. Sickness, poverty, lack, want, infirmity and diseases will not stand love and they will leave your life. If you have anything against any forgive or talk to the person and ask for forgiveness, you won’t lose anything but you have everything to gain. Even if the person does not want to talk to you it doesn’t matter fulfill your part.

May God richly bless you in the matchless name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
